Jim Spykerman came originally from California and resides on Lake Keowee, in Seneca S.C. He has 39 years of business experience working with people and providing exceptional service. Jim loves working with people and enjoys exploring new properties. He specializes in the sales of properties which are a good fit for his customer, whether that be, land, a rental condo, a single-family residence a lakefront home or a multi-million dollar estate. At one time or another he has owned each of these and he has a firm understanding of the values and pitfalls of each. Jim’s entire working life has involved serving people and he really enjoys helping people get what they most desire.
Jim brings extensive experience in the real estate business. He brings his more than 27 years of, purchasing, building, improving, and selling; land, homes, multi-unit and commercial properties both individually and in partnership. Jim has vast experience directing the activities of property management, the workings of multi-unit condo properties and associations with multimillion dollar budgets. Jim has been deeply involved as a homeowner advocate, serving on many home owner’s association boards and as President he has been responsible for managing budgets, overseeing accounting, and forming contracts owner and manager relations. Accordingly Jim has a firm understanding of planned unit developments, their management and funding issues.
Jim has been a member of the American Red Cross Disaster Action Team. providing service to fire and natural disaster victims. In addition he has been appointed by the Superior Court, of Ventura County California, as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for abused and mistreated children. Serving people and reuniting families brings him great joy.
Jim is blessed by his marriage of 29 years to Connie Spykerman. Connie is the Chief Nursing Officer at Pelham Medical Center in Greer S.C., and they have one daughter who recently graduated from Furman University and now is in a Doctoral program at Columbia University in New York City.
Jim enjoys home improvement, boating, flying, water sports, golf, and snowboarding. Jim was the USASA National Overall Snowboard champion among Legend class (40-49) in 2010 and 2011. He holds a private pilot’s license. Jim is currently President of a resort condominium development at Mammoth Mountain, California.
